NPL announces unique Fellowships programme to support the world’s leading scientists beyond funding cycles

LONDON 21 June 2018 – The National Physical Laboratory (NPL), the UK’s National Measurement Institute, has today announced a new unique programme of Measurement Fellowships, funded by the government’s Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund. These aim to attract experienced scientists from all over the world and enable them to pursue career-long research at a world-class organisation.

Cancer Research UK appoints leading expert to help accelerate advancements in clinical research

 

Cancer Research UK announces the appointment of Dr James Larkin as a new Senior Clinical Advisor in clinical research, today (Tuesday).

Dr Larkin’s new role aims to accelerate the progress of the charity’s clinical research portfolio. He will also support the charity in helping ensure the UK can continue to participate in clinical trials across Europe after Brexit.  The role will work alongside Cancer Research UK’s three other Clinical Advisors who specialise in surgery, primary care and children’s cancer.
