The AHSS Network is a volunteer-led special interest group for Praxis Auril members and the wider community. The group meets a few times a year to discuss and share good practice related to Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (AHSS) innovation, business engagement, knowledge exchange and commercialisation.

  • 14:30 - 14:40 - Welcome and business
    • Welcome to new members, PrA SIG Updates, Call for committee members, Structure of the day, Recap and reflections from Aspect sessions
  • 14:40 - 15:00 – Networking breakouts
    • Breakout groups of 2-4 people, rotating every 5 mins
    • Suggested topic: Bring a challenge/bring a solution to group to discuss
  • 15:00 - 15:40 - Update from funders
    • Melanie Knetsch - UKRI ESRC
    • Paul Meller - UKRI AHRC
    • Q&A
  • 15:40 - 16:25 - Discussion groups on themes
    • Attendees are invited to submit topics in advance. Initial proposals include:
      • AHSS commercialization - keeping it as a priority in context of Covid-19
      • Place based - opportunities to work with local authorities on issues that bring in SS
      • Others TBC – based on attendee suggestions
    • Discussion & Recap from Group Sessions
  • 16:25 - 16:30 - Wrap-up & Close
