PraxisAuril can deliver training from the unique perspective of Knowledge Exchange practitioners. We see the world from the same angle as you do!
We draw on a wide pool of experience and expertise from within the profession and build them into the course content, ensuring we are always delivering up to date, sector leading training and development.
Our courses also focus on networking, providing a valuable platform to meet peers, discuss best practice, and interact with the course team and other contributors.
PLEASE NOTE: There may be a requirement for delegates to undertake some pre-course work/reading before our courses begin.

Course fees include:
Attendance at all lectures and workshops.
Training and reference materials (electronic or otherwise).
Morning and afternoon refreshments, and lunch every day.
Evening buffet dinner with drinks, which provide valuable opportunities to network, are as per the course programme – this usually includes registration on the first evening, and dinner on the second evening. On our three-day courses there is a free evening for delegates (this is usually on a Thursday). Please note that there is no reduction in the course fee if you choose not to attend the evening events.
Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) Status
Demonstrate your dedication and expertise in the academic technology transfer profession by becoming a Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP). All PraxisAuril training courses are eligible for continuing education (CE) credits, which support your registration application. For more information about the registration process and requirements, visit the Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals website at http://attp.info/.
Please note that RTTP points will only be awarded to delegates that attend ALL sessions of the course.

We design and deliver a wide range of courses and programmes to meet specific needs and local requirements.
We work with you to:
- identify your specific training requirements and learning objectives
- identify the most appropriate route to meet those objectives
- build a course which fits around your needs
We then submit a proposal for approval and deliver the training at a venue and date agreed with you.
Our courses are delivered by PraxisUnico trainers, bringing relevant, current experience and best practice.

PraxisAuril trainers are expert practitioners who volunteer their time to ensure that best practice in Knowledge Exchange and Commercialisation is shared and implemented across the sector.
We have trainers in a range of disciplines, and in a number of countries. We're always keen to hear from expert practitioners who wish to share their knowledge and experience with their peers. Full training in delivery and support in constructing training modules will be provided.

Dr Phil Elstob, Commercialisation Director with Cambridge Enterprise Ltd
Phil is Commercialisation Director at Cambridge Enterprise where he partners life sciences technologies from the University of Cambridge with industry and investors. Phil joined Cambridge Enterprise from Cancer Research UK, where he spent over fifteen years working on the identification, protection, development and commercialisation of novel cancer therapeutics, ultimately as Head of Commercial Portfolio. Whilst at Cancer Research UK, Phil established a partnership with Newcastle University, and notably worked for both organisations to build a strategic alliance with Astex Pharmaceuticals to discover and develop new cancer drugs. Phil also spent two and a half years as Chief Executive Officer of Demuris Limited, a Newcastle University spin out company focused on antibiotic drug discovery. He has a PhD in developmental biology from the MRC’s National Institute for Medical Research (Mill Hill) and was a delegate on the very first PraxisUnico course held in Bristol in November 2002.
Paul Maclennan, Partner, Anderson Law LLP
Paul advises on a wide variety of commercial agreements focusing on transactional work within the IT, life sciences and university sectors. His clients include leading UK universities and an international IT/telecoms company. Paul is listed in Chambers & Partners as a leading UK lawyer in the field of Intellectual Property and is a contributor to a number of Anderson Law's publications on intellectual property and commercial law, most recently Technology Transfer (3rd Ed, Bloomsbury, 2010).
Sue Johnson, Consultancy Manager, The University of East Anglia in Norwich
Sue is responsible for the management of the consultancy office and is a Director of UEA Consulting Ltd. Sue joined Research and Business Services at The University of East Anglia (UEA) in her current role in 2005. Her background is in plant molecular biology having previously worked at the John Innes Centre. After moving to The School of Biological Sciences at UEA she completed an MBA at the Norwich Business School which led to her move to the Technology Transfer and Commercialisation Group. Since becoming Consultancy Manager she has seen the business grow considerably and has overseen the formation of a number of successful consultancy clusters including Health Economics Consulting and Virtual Past. She is currently working with the LEP to deliver an Innovation Voucher Scheme, as part of the Regional Growth Fund, offering match funding to smes wishing to access university expertise.
