Summary of the role

Ranked among the top 150 universities in the world, Exeter has become one of the UK’s fastest growing and fastest rising research universities. We are investing in the Directorate of Innovation, Impact and Business to drive forward our already strong relationships with business; grow our potential for significant impact; and galvanise regional innovation.

Impact and Partnership (Business) Development Officers (IPDOs) are responsible for supporting business engagement; impact development; research collaboration with industry and government partners; relationships with key partners including corporate partners; and other forms of income generation from businesses and other external partners. Often working within thematic teams, IPDOs are responsible for helping the teams identify opportunities for impact and partnership development and to bring together internal teams and build external partnerships to work up proposals. They also support the development of long-term strategic partnerships with regional, national and international stakeholders.

This post will be working within the Data/Tech/Health Sector Team supporting large bids initiatives across this sector. You will work alongside Impact and Partnership Development Managers and Heads of Sector supporting business development initiatives and large bids.

We are therefore seeking an organised and efficient individual to support the continued development of the University of Exeter's research impact portfolio. The successful candidate will be interested in technologies emerging from the latest scientific research, and will be a person who possesses good interpersonal skills and is able to work with a range of people.
