Last month we had the great pleasure of welcoming Dr Tim Fishlock to the team as our new Head of Professional and Community Development.
Tim joins us from Health Enterprise East where he served as Head of Technology Transfer in the Innovation Team for over 3 years, helping to commercialise IP developed within their NHS member Trusts. Before this, Tim spent over 11 years in Knowledge Exchange with UCL Business Plc and the Royal Society of Chemistry and an early career in academic publishing at Cambridge University Press. Tim has a BA in Chemistry and DPhil in Nano Science from Oxford University.
In just a month, Tim has become a superb member of the PraxisAuril team, getting involved with the Professional Development Committee and meeting our excellent volunteers. We were lucky to hold our first face-to-face team away day since the beginning of last year on Tim’s first week, where we discussed our plans for the future and exciting new initiatives that he will be fundamental in supporting. 
A message from Tim
Having worked in KE for over 15 years in academia and the NHS, I have experienced first-hand the changing landscape in which KE practitioners operate and the importance of continuous professional development. I am really looking forward to working with the KE community and our fantastic group of PraxisAuril volunteers on the development and delivery of our CPD programmes including some exciting new initiatives! A key focus for me over the coming months will be to engage with our existing group of volunteers who (amongst other things) develop and deliver our training courses, contribute to our events and conference, input to our community fora and provide mentorship. I will also be looking at how we can continue to develop, support, and grow our volunteer base, showcasing the many and varied opportunities there are to volunteer with PraxisAuril and how to get involved. I’m always delighted to hear from any members who are interested in volunteering with us, so do please get in touch!
