Guest blog from The Alan Turing Institute
Turing Data Study Groups (DSGs) are intensive collaborative hackathon-type-events hosted by the Alan Turing Institute, the UK National Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The concept for DSGs was developed in 2016 by Dr Sebastian Vollmer along with Alan Turing Institute colleagues and it builds on the successful 1968 Mathematics Study Group concept.

  • Virtual Forum for Knowledge Exchange in the Mathematical Sciences - KE Team of the Year

Guest blog from Drs Joanna Jordan RTTP FIMA (Freelance Mathematical Sciences KE) and Matt Butchers (Innovate UK KTN)
We were thrilled that the work of the Virtual Forum for Knowledge Exchange in the Mathematical Sciences (V-KEMS) – a joint venture between the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences (ICMS), Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Newton Gateway to Mathematics, and Innovate UK KTN – won the KE Team of the Year in the 2021 PraxisAuril KE Awards! We knew the team had worked hard to develop a unique KE offering, but we still didn’t expect to win!
