Job Description
King's College London is looking for a maternity cover post to handle the pre-award function of GCRF and ODA research funding within the College. This will involve a mix of activities addressed to building capacity for our academic staff, manage submission of applications in funders system and in Worktribe, and conclude all relevant contractual obligations with the funders and collaborators.
The Senior Research Funding Associate will be responsible to develop and feedback into existing systems around ODA compliance, liaise with internal and external stakeholders to develop applications and be the pre-award point of contact for administrative, financial and contractual matters around GCRF and ODA funding.
The post will build and maintain intelligence around scheme policy developments and future trends and cascade this information to faculty and academic staff, as needed, in alignment with the Division of Research Strategy and Development.
The post will work with colleagues across the College to develop and implement robust framework for due diligence and monitor compliance with funders’ requirements of GCRF and ODA internal activities.
The post will be the go-to-person to deal with the contractual take-up of the grant once awarded, i.e. setup of the grant in College systems, negotiating collaboration agreements and liaise with the funders for the finalization of the contract.
The post will ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations and will build strong working relations with faculty peers and Research Development Managers involved in scoping the proposal and writing of the application. It is expected the post will align with relevant institutional support staff and academic leads in managing effective relationships with research funders.
Contract
This post will be offered on a maternity cover contract for up to 12 months.
