As part of our objective to become the world’s most effective University Technology Transfer organisation, we are looking to appoint a talented business builder within our Life Science team on a permanent contract.

 

Are you an entrepreneurial Biotechnology professional with a passion for innovation?

 

We are searching for a dynamic entrepreneurial Senior Project Manager with a Life Sciences background. As a project ‘champion’ and technology expert in this area, you will be responsible for owning and driving opportunities through UoMIF’s stage gate process.

 

You will be responsible for identifying and opportunities and writing robust business cases and plans for successful spin-out businesses or high value licensing opportunities.

 

Reporting to the Director of Projects, the Life Sciences Senior Project Manager will ensure a steady flow of innovative projects from the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health which have the potential to generate significant market impact. They will regularly interact and engage with academics to promote new commercialisation initiatives and ensure that exiting innovative ideas are captured.

 

The candidate will be responsible for writing well structured, comprehensive business cases for each commercialisation opportunity. An understanding of global innovation themes in life sciences is essential as well as a strong technical background.

 

You will be able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen and be able to collaborate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

 

  • A Higher degree in Life Sciences or a closely related subject is essential for this role.
