Research Grant Lead

The University of Sheffield has an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting the development and growth of our world-leading engineering research activities.

We are recruiting a Research Grant Lead to drive the development of large strategic research proposals for the Faculty of Engineering. You will closely with academic researchers and external partners to develop strong research partnerships and multi-partner consortia. You will lead key aspects of proposal development, facilitating workshops with partners, leading the drafting of non-technical and semi-technical aspects of grant applications and ensuring that proposals are well positioned within the UK’s research and innovation landscape.

We are seeking candidates educated with honours degrees in Engineering or Science based subjects who are highly motivated and understand the importance of delivering impact from academic research. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of developing and delivering successful large funding proposals including drafting significant parts of research applications. We are looking for individuals who can work confidently across multiple stakeholders, including commercial partners, and provide strategic advice to strengthen research partnerships and proposals.
