Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) are recruiting two Portfolio Managers within the Innovation Domain. These roles will play a key role in BBSRC’s flexible, strategic approach to the development of current and future investments in: academic-industry collaborative research and development.
These are varied and exciting roles and involve significant interaction across BBSRC, UK Research and Innovation and with external partners and stakeholders such as businesses, research organisations and policymakers. They will support BBSRC’s strategic engagement with businesses so they can effectively access, influence, engage and collaborate with the UK bioscience research and skills base in order to deliver social and economic benefit for the UK and globally. This portfolio of activity will provide an unrivalled, exciting opportunity to gain experience and insight into cutting edge bioscience research, innovation, policy and strategy.
About you
You will have a proven aptitude for broad strategic thinking and flexible working. Will hold a degree in biological or related subject and or relevant professional experience as well as an awareness of the current UK bioscience research an interest in the biological sciences and its impacts.
