MedTech SuperConnector (MTSC) Project Coordinator: Imperial College London

We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team at the MedTech SuperConnector. The MedTech SuperConnector (MTSC) is a £5m, 3-year Research England Connecting Capability Fund (CCF) project. The CCF aims to stimulate strategic collaboration between universities (and industry), to pool expertise, build connecting capacity, share good practice across the higher education sector, and industrial and regional partnerships.

The MTSC is an open experiment in acceleration, bringing together talented early career researchers (ECRs), academic discoveries and pooled know-how from 8 academic institutions to determine the most effective methods for translation of MedTech discoveries into clinical practice and consumer use. The Imperial led consortium of Higher Education Partners include: The Francis Crick Institute, Institute of Cancer Research, Imperial College London, Queen Mary University of London, Royal College of Art, Bucks New University, Royal Veterinary College & Royal College of Music London.

Now in its third year, the MTSC has now successfully delivered the project, meeting and exceeding all set KPIs - leading to the award of a further £3.44m, to continue the programme till 2023.

· Institutional Impact: Royal College of Music have commercialized their first ever technology venture, whilst also bringing changes to its own entrepreneurship learning content and delivery

Duties and responsibilities

As MTSC Programme Coordinator you will coordinate and ensure efficient administration of the day-to-day operations of the MTSC programme activities and support the MTSC Programme Manager in the efficient delivery of the Programme.

The purpose of this role is to deliver very high-quality assistance to the MTSC Programme Manager and comprehensive coordination to the MTSC team, supporting them by driving all the processes necessary to make the teamwork as an effective unit.

This is a role with significant responsibility as the selected applicant will be the first point of contact for MTSC in most cases and will often be the first point of call for senior external contacts, senior management, partners and ventures, requiring sound judgement and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
