Assistant Commercialisation Manager: UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to become an integral part of our Research Contracts, IP & Commercialisation function which is responsible for the development of new commercial products and services from UKCEH research capabilities and outputs, maximising the impact of our research and innovation.

As Assistant Commercialisation Manager, you will gain a comprehensive grounding in technology transfer activities and best practices including developing a robust understanding of intellectual property, commercialisation processes and business development, as well as engaging in licensing, sales, and other commercial contracts. This position represents an excellent opportunity for someone seeking their first formal role in technology transfer or research commercialisation.

These are exciting times for commercialisation at UKCEH and having just signed a partnership agreement with Greensphere Capital, we expect to be building new spinout companies that can expand the impact of our science through nature-based solutions. In time, there will be an opportunity for you to specialise and assume full responsibility for a substantial segment of our commercialisation activities, and actively contribute to the development of these spinout propositions.
