USIT for Software (short for the University Spinout Investment Terms for Software Guide) is a set of recommendations to accelerate spinout creation and investment. USIT for Software is targeted at founders, universities and investors, offering transparency and a clear landing zone of what a good deal looks like to the sector. It is being created by a voluntary group of leading universities, prominent investors, a founder and three legal firms.
TenU is now at consultation stage and is keen to bring more universities into the discussion, so that they can incorporate their feedback into the final draft. To this end, a group of contributors to the USIT Guide will be available to provide an overview and answer any questions you may have. These are:
