Annual Conference

Conference 2022: Celebrating KE as a People Business

Join us at the Brighton Centre on the 6th – 8th June 2022 for our next annual conference. This event will mark an extremely special occasion for PraxisAuril as we celebrate our 20-year anniversary!

Plans are already in motion to make this conference our best yet, including a Gala Dinner at The Grand, dedicated anniversary activities and as always, fantastic KE content.

After two years of running a virtual conference, we are very excited to bring our conference back to physical world, seeing our old friends and making brand new ones.

This conference has an overarching theme of ‘Celebrating KE as a People Business’. After years of isolating, social distancing and digital working, our face-to-face conference is the perfect opportunity to rebuild relationships and reconnect with the community.

Sessions will centre on three strands:

•    Innovative Practice: Knowledge Exchange for a breadth of audiences.
•    Capacity Building: supporting the KE professional’s skills development.
•    Universities as Anchor Institutions: journeys along the Research and Knowledge Exchange Continuum.

Call For Session Abstracts
The Conference Committee has been working hard to plan the 2022 conference where we look forward to re-connecting as a community. A key component of the conference is the parallel sessions which are enriched by the contributions of members.
We are now taking submissions for session abstracts from anyone wishing to contribute to the conference. Below is a document outlining the session titles for each conference strand and also the abstract submission form and guidance.
Please read the guidance carefully and complete the form using the 'fill & sign' function on the right hand side of the pdf document once opened. The completed form can then be sent to deadline to submit your abstract is midnight, Wednesday 9th February.

Our biggest and most connected events

PraxisAuril conferences are the biggest knowledge exchange events outside of the US. Whether you are in knowledge exchange, technology transfer, business development, contracts, licensing or intellectual property, you will find the content and contacts you need to power your collaborations.

There are so many ways to get involved, from member-led breakout sessions, Knowledge Exchange Award submissions and sponsorship/exhibition opportunities.

“Colleagues from The University of Reading’s Knowledge Transfer Centre actively participated in the Praxis AURIL Digital Celebration in December 2020. Our Business Relationship Manager team presented four times, from developing our TVAI Thames Valley AI Network, to sharing experience of KTP, developing entrepreneurial skills through YES, and even coordinating collaborations in football research! The event was enthusiastically and professionally managed and without doubt we benefited from taking part. Along the way, we picked up hints & tips from other KE professionals and made some extremely useful connections as a direct result of the talks we gave. We’ll be back again in 2021 for sure!”
- Simon Cutler, University of Reading

"The KEMatters event was a great opportunity to network, catch up with colleagues and hear some fantastic speakers.
Although I missed seeing people face to face as the conference was online, it meant I could catch up on sessions I missed, by watching the recordings.
This was a real advantage and meant I didn’t have to miss out on any sessions."
- Amanda Selvaratnam, University of York
