Impact Acceleration Account Project Officer

The University’s IP & Commercialisation Office administer a range of devolved Impact Accelerator Awards (IAAs), awards which we are able to deploy flexibly and rapidly to drive step change in the impact underpinned by our research and training portfolio. 

As part of the expansion of our impact acceleration team, and to enable us to effectively manage these awards internally, we are seeking an impact acceleration account programme manager to support the successful delivery of our IAAs.

We currently manage a large multi-million pound portfolio of projects across a number of IAA funding streams (EPSRC, MRC, and HEIF funded). We are seeking an organised and motivated individual who will support with the management of funding calls, project set up, management of financials related to these awards and play a supporting role in our reporting responsibilities to the funders. 

Based within the University’s IP Commercialisation Office at the Jubilee Campus and reporting into the Head of Impact Acceleration, the post holder will be expected to work closely with the funding managers and Head of Impact Acceleration to ensure smooth management of these awards. In particular, the role holder will need to be numerically literate, with a good working knowledge of managing budgets. Role holders will also need an ability to multi-task across the broad spectrum of funded projects and to demonstrate a proactive approach to award monitoring. Successful applicants will also need to demonstrate commitment to maintaining good stakeholder relationships and will ideally have a working understanding of the knowledge exchange environment that this role is centred around. 

This position is offered on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours) with hybrid and flexible working arrangements possible ; applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week).
