This review of KE in the mathematical sciences was facilitated by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and the Knowledge Transfer Network. It aimed to demonstrate the need for additional investment in the mathematical sciences as a fundamental to increased productivity and innovation, supporting the UK's industrial strategy. The report draws attention to the many different ways in which mathematical sciences are used in modern society, economies, and industry.
