PraxisAuril ‘Impact Award’ member recognised with an MBE in new year honours

Anjuu Trevedi, Head of Regional Business Engagement at the University of Leicester, has been awarded an MBE in the 2021 New Year’s honours list, for services to business innovation and to the economy in Leicestershire.

Anjuu won the Contribution to Business category, and overall winner, in the PraxisAuril (then PraxisUnico) Impact Awards 2015 for her work at the Advanced Structural Dynamics Evaluation Centre (ASDEC). At the time, Professor Sarah Hainsworth, lead academic and Director of ASDEC said:

"This award recognises the efforts of many people at the University of Leicester, particularly Anjuu as the KEC professional. The KEC team has been crucial to ASDECs success and in building a lasting long-life project. Anjuu's unwavering enthusiasm and dedication over the four years of the project from the initial conception and market research, and her expertise in grant writing and knowledge of the funding environment, has been crucial. She has also played a very important part in terms of convincing the senior management team at Leicester that the project was well founded and viable.”

We are delighted to see that Anjuu’s continued hard work and perseverance in connecting businesses with the research base has been recognised at a national level. Knowledge Exchange is a UK success-story and KE Professionals are the often un-sung heroes who engage researchers, businesses, regional bodies and funders to create economic and social impact.
