Past PraxisAuril Chair, Dr Alison Campbell, appointed to lead the Government Office for Tech Transfer (GoTT)

The new Government Office for Technology Transfer, part of BEIS, has appointed PraxisAuril member and friend, Dr Alison Campbell OBE as its inaugural CEO.

As many PrA members will know, Alison has made a significant contribution to our KE community during her career, not least as Chair of PraxisAuril in its formative years - where she was part of the founding programme development committee - but also in the USA, as Chair of AUTM, and Europe where she led a major KE metrics review for ASTP.

PraxisAuril CEO, Maxine Ficarra said:

“I am delighted that Alison’s achievements in knowledge exchange have been recognised in her appointment to lead the GoTT. She is a true ambassador for knowledge exchange in the UK and around the world and has a wealth of experience to bring to this new endeavour, delivering economic and societal impact from across the public sector intellectual asset base.”

PraxisAuril has supported and advised BEIS in the establishment of the GoTT, with many individual members contributing to a review of public sector IP in 2018 (available in our Resources section here) and to 2021’s Mackintosh report which set out the implementation path for the GoTT. We remain committed to working with Alison and her team and look forward to welcoming them as part of our growing KE community.
