'Patent to Patient' looks at regulatory delays in drug innovation

PraxisAuril member the Institute for Cancer Research has released a report looking at cancer drug delivery in the NHS and the rate of drug development across different types of cancer. ‘Patent to Patient’ analysed the regulatory regime and found that NHS patients are waiting longer for new cancer drugs because of delays in taking them through clinical trials and getting them approved for use.

The finalists of the 2018 IET Innovation Awards have been announced! Chosen from over 350 original entries, the shortlist includes life-changing innovations in categories including Communications, Healthcare, Sustainability, Manufacturing and Technology Transfer. The winners will be announced at an exclusive black-tie ceremony, hosted by comedy actor and writer Sally Phillips. The evening will offer attendees the chance to network with the finalists and visit a showcase of some of the shortlisted innovations in action. Two new awards will be presented: the Young Innovators Award, for young engineering professionals, and the IET and E&T Innovation of the Year, a new top prize awarded to one of the category winners.
