The Impact Awards 11 opens for entries

The Impact Awards logo

The Impact Awards are open to all sectors of research that have made an outstanding impact through successful knowledge transfer.  Organised by PraxisUnico (the UK’s leading research commercialisation organisation), The Impact Awards will showcase the very best examples of knowledge transfer activity.

The Impact Award categories are:

·        Business Impact - Aspiring

·        Business Impact - Achieved

·        **NEW for 2011** Collaborative Impact

·        Career Track Award – KT Achiever of the Year

The new Collaborative Impact award has been created to better represent other knowledge transfer activity such as (but not limited to) research collaborations or consultancy projects.  The Impact Awards will raise awareness of the potential within knowledge transfer activities by demonstrating best practice and impact.

We are delighted to invite Maggie Philbin back for a second year to host and present the awards at the PraxisUnico Conference Gala Dinner, at the Old Fruitmarket, Glasgow, on Thursday 9 June 2011.  As well as providing comment on technology for the BBC, Maggie has a unique resonance with audiences who remember her from much loved shows such as ‘Swap Shop’ and ‘Tomorrow’s World’.

Please note: To qualify for entry, teams must include a representative from the technology/knowledge transfer function.
