£2.3m awarded to Cumbria University

The University of Cumbria was successful in their bid for £2.3m to aid in improving efficiency levels of small and medium sized business. 

The European Regional Development Fund has put forward this money to help accelerate eco-innovation research. Cumbria University hopes that the research will result in more collaborations between university and local businesses.

The scheme is called Eco-innovation Cumbria and will run until 2020. It is being managed by University of Cumbria and part funded by ERDF with University of Lancaster and University of Central Lancashire as partners.
