KE 'n' Coffee - 'KE metrics'

1st July 2020 - 15:00 - 15:30  Alasdair and Tamsin are taking a week off for the KE Awards but will be back on Wednesday, 1st July when they will tackle the thorny topic of KE metrics.   Their starting point will be an EU report ‘Knowledge Transfer Metrics: Towards a European Wide Set of Harmonised Metrics’. This report, commissioned by the EC’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) in partnership with ASTP, was authored by an expert group Chaired by Alison Campbell, Director of Knowledge Transfer Ireland (KTI). The challenge – in a nutshell – was to identify metrics that could more accurately capture the evolution of knowledge transfer from a primarily transactional activity to one that recognises a broader range of outcomes. The report notes in its introduction that “Funders and recipients of public research alike recognise the need to demonstrate, in the broadest sense, the value return from [knowledge transfer] investment.”  Alasdair and Tamsin will touch on KEF metrics, the AUTM licensing survey, and a recently launched initiative by KCA (Australia) to bring international perspectives to their discussions.   Please bring your coffee and questions! #KEnCoffee #KEMatters      You will need to be logged into the website in order to register for the event.  Please click the 'Register Now' button to confirm your attendance.   Please note an email with the Zoom link and password shall be sent to you within your registration email.  For any changes to registrations please contact the Event Team, PraxisAuril   If you are unsure if your organisation is a member you can check here or email info@praxisauril.org.uk and we can let you know.
