Aberystwyth University is recruiting The Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Officer will be responsible for:
• Managing the University’s IP, Patent Portfolio and seeking out, assessing and evaluating new IP opportunities.
• Drafting and advising on IP and contractual agreements e.g confidentiality agreements, material transfer agreements, licenses, revenuue sharing
agreements, assignments etc.
• Supporting Technology Transfer grant applications; advising on commercialisation potential and identifying commercial strategies for transferring technologies into
industry. Supporting the negotiation of Technology Transfer opportunities, including managing and administering post-deal activity.
The successful applicant will demonstrate an understanding of IP and the technical and practical aspects of Technology Transfer and associated contractual issues. They should
demonstrate a continued desire and ability to expand knowledge to encompass new analytical and technological developments associated with this function. The successful
candidate will have the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and specialists, possess high-level financial and administrative skills, and a willingness to work as part of a larger team.
