Sector Manager: University of Bath

We have x2 exciting opportunities to play a key role in the second phase of the established and successful SETsquared Scale-Up Programme, a business acceleration programme that links the research talent and expertise of the six partner universities - Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Southampton, and Surrey - with innovative technology companies to secure public grant and private investment for business-led R&D and innovation growth. 

You will have a demonstrable background in driving and fostering business-led innovation, a highly developed cross-sectoral understanding, deep awareness of the research excellence of the six partner universities, and the skills and drive to support the creation of innovation projects with a clear route to commercialisation and economic impact. Key innovation sectors for the SETsquared Scale-Up Programme include Digital Innovation; Health and Wellbeing; Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing; and Environment, Sustainability, Marine, and Maritime.

The Sector Manager will contribute to the continued development of a best practice innovation programme for innovative technology companies to engage in collaborative R&D with the six partner universities to deliver £5.66m of collaborative R&D income by June 2023.
