Research Funding Associate (Pre-Award)

A unique opportunity to be an integral member of the International Pre-Award Team (based at Lavington Street) has come up at King’s College London. We are looking for an individual who can provide an efficient and effective pre-contractual service for staff based across all of King’s College London who are engaged in research, with expertise in five key areas:

  • Knowledge of research funding streams from international sources (EU, NIH, DoD, US State Department, CDC, Overseas Research Councils, etc)
  • Supporting the Costing and budgeting of projects using Worktribe
  • Negotiate contractual conditions and contribute towards the formulation of policy on research matter and also develop (or continue to develop) their own expertise in research funding and follow through to award set-up stage
  • Maintenance of internal data gathering systems and communication campaigns • Promotion of international research funding schemes across the College

The postholder will work pro-actively and independently within the context of existing College policy and strategy and will be expected to contribute to the development of these over time. The post-holder will also have responsibility to negotiate agreements on behalf of the College and become independently expert at drafting research collaboration contracts over time.

The International Pre-award Team supports the research community at King’s College London across all campuses that wish to apply to US government, EC and Overseas Research Council Funding Calls.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract and will be based at Lavington Street, London.

This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.
