Research Contract Manager: University of Bristol

Research Contracts Specialist

Division of Research & Enterprise Development (RED)

The Research Contracts Team is looking for a highly skilled Research Contracts Specialist who is capable of working fully independently, and as part of a highly professional and busy team, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts that are often complex or strategically important to the University and involving a wide range of stakeholders. You will be a confident and able communicator with the ability to build relationships, negotiate and influence effectively at all levels as well as having a highly-tuned understanding of how to achieve satisfactory conclusions in an efficient and creative, cooperative, and timely manner.  The ability to work in a close-knit team with a commitment to a best in class service is also essential.

Reporting to a Senior Contracts Manager you will have the ability to assess, draft, and negotiate the more challenging contracts, whilst providing active and continuous management, support, and encouragement to more junior team members.  Knowledge and understanding of the Higher Education sector would also be an advantage.

The team are keen to receive applications from a diverse pool of applicants; whether you are currently a solicitor in private practice or an in-house team, already a research contracts professional in the HEI sector, or work with contracts elsewhere, if you have the skill and determination to step into a leadership role within a busy team then we’re keen to hear from you.

If you have questions about the role or your suitability then please do contact the Senior Research Contracts Manager Rajive Sharma, (rajive.sharma@bristol.ac.uk Tel. 0117 42 84057)
