Role


£42,482 - £52,247 – Salary to be set by Vice Chancellor in accordance with Senior staff pay, this will be dependent upon skills and experience.
The Business Development team in the Enterprise and Business Services Directorate provides leadership and support for the development of profitable and strategic relationships with business, organisations and funding bodies.  In your role as a Business Development Manager (BDM) you will work collectively with the BDM team on strategic initiatives and projects, as well as being a partner for regional business.
You will apply specialist knowledge of developing industry/business partnerships throughout the region from small and medium sized enterprises to large organisations. You will also have a good working knowledge of the public sector, business membership organisations and the Local Enterprise Partnership.


Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of business development in universities and a track record of successfully managing complex stakeholder relationships, meeting performance targets and managing resources.  A clear understanding of the strategic needs, issues and decision making processes of major corporations and public sector employers is essential in order to successfully manage and promote corporate and stakeholder engagement.
