We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience of successfully managing enterprise activity. You will have a passion for innovation and enterprise and embody the traits of a successful entrepreneur; creativity, excellent people skills and a committed determination to making the world a better place.
Our ambition is bold; we want to be in the top 5 Universities in the UK with regards to Knowledge Exchange and Innovation. This is befitting of a University and a city which has a special story to tell when it comes to innovation, enterprise and entrepreneurship. The term ‘cutting-edge’ was forged here to represent world-leading excellence in the manufacture of metals and blades. From the sharpest blades, to the sharpest minds, our aim is to build on our existing culture of enterprise and continue to demonstrate excellence in innovation on the world stage.
Our goal for the University’s Knowledge Exchange and Innovation strategy is ambitious and this role provides you with a unique opportunity to be involved and be part of the team driving our activities. Located within Partnerships and Regional Engagement, this Project Manager (Enterprise) position has been newly-created to work with the KE leadership across the University to drive the required culture change.
This role will require you to work closely with the Head of Innovation and Knowledge Exchange, other members of the Knowledge Exchange team, professional services and academic colleagues from across the University as well as key stakeholders from the Sheffield City Region to ensure that our plans for innovation, enterprise and entrepreneurship are implemented and delivered successfully; resolving issues as they arise, and meeting relevant deadlines with high quality outputs.
You will be able to plan and progress work activities in the mid to long-term, be well organised, and a strong communicator with the ability to engage and influence effectively across multiple audiences.
We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
