The Corporate Partnerships Team, alongside four other teams (Development; Alumni Relations; Short Courses; and Contracts and Commercialisation) forms the External Relations Department. Together with other departments in the university we deliver an integrated approach to the University’s relationships with its key external stakeholders, support the delivery of the university’s Knowledge Exchange Strategy and the sharing of knowledge to benefit business, organisations and our community.
The work of the Corporate Partnerships Team is multifaceted but largely focuses on developing strategic partnerships and the delivery of the University Knowledge Exchange strategy to support the university achieve its strategic objectives and perform well in the KEF benchmark exercise. The team do this through the acquisition of: contracts to deliver consultancy, collaborative R&D, contract research and Degree Apprenticeship training to help businesses grow and organisations improve; identification of Intellectual Property licencing opportunities and; funding to deliver regeneration and development projects for communities to help them develop skills and capabilities.
You will be expected, not only to form strong working relationships with academics, professional service colleagues and clients, but also to provide outstanding operational support to CPT colleagues in the administrative support requirements for the opportunity management and project delivery aspects of their activities.
Whilst this post is to support the whole opportunity and delivery lifecycle of projects, this role will largely be supporting the delivery of projects to enhance the university’s capability to deliver on its Knowledge Exchange strategy and perform well in the KEF. Therefore, ideally, you will have experience of coordinating projects e.g. organising and coordinating ‘kick off’ and regular meetings to support the timely delivery of multiple projects to ensure projects are delivered on time and in budget.
As this role will also support the Corporate Partnerships Managers in the successful delivery of a range of events, you should also have experience of organising the more logistical elements of events.
