Patent and database manager: The Francis Crick Institute

An exciting opportunity to be part of a pioneering biomedical research institute, dedicated to innovation and science.  We are looking for a highly organised, proactive, experienced and adaptable patent and database manager to join our team. To be able to take on this position, you will need excellent attention to detail, show initiative and have good time management and communication skills. This is a crucial role to provide comprehensive support to the Translation team, as well as opportunities to get involved in a breadth of activities.

This is a permanent, part-time (0.6 FTE) position. 

 

Description

 

• We are looking for a patent and database manager to work with the Translation team. The Translation team supports our researchers in applying and translating their research into new therapies, diagnostics and technologies; and working with industry and academic partners to achieve this.

• The role is essential in managing translation processes and coordinating reporting activities, and will work closely with all members of the Translation team.

• You will undertake a breadth of activities to ensure that our researchers get the best support to progress their science to real-world applications.

• You should have at least 3 years’ experience in patents information management.

• You should have a very good understanding of the patent system and the administration processes involved in obtaining and maintaining patent applications.
