About the role

The Leicester Life Sciences Accelerator (LLSA) is a three year, ERDF part-funded, business-focused applied life science research and innovation support programme. The LLSA's main objective is to provide businesses in the life sciences and healthcare sector with innovation support to promote knowledge exchange between clinicians, academics and local companies. By developing collaborative innovation projects to accelerate development and creating a clear route to market & funding for new products and services.

We are looking to recruit an LLSA Business Development Officer to lead and manage the successful delivery of practical innovation support from the University through the support programme. You will deliver a proportion of the ERDF and University outputs and outcomes on time and budget by supporting life science innovation activities and events to recruit relevant companies to deliver collaborative projects.

You will intensively support qualifying organisations on their innovation journey to introduce new products, services or new processes in collaboration with the University while actively promoting Knowledge Exchange opportunities internally and externally.


About you

You will have a proven ability to build strong and credible relationships with commercial partners, academic researchers and intermediaries at all levels and experience managing multi-stakeholder projects.

You will come with a broad range of research and technical skills that will support the delivery of innovation-focused projects, with the capability to devise and deliver workshops on specific innovation themes.
