Knowledge Exchange Staff Development Lead: University of the Arts London (UAL)

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead on developing and managing delivery of a staff development offer that supports effective knowledge exchange practice across both academic and non-academic staff, building our institutional capacity, and enabling delivery of the highest standards of knowledge exchange consistently across UAL.

 

This role is a great opportunity for someone with experience of designing integrated programmes of staff training, events and communications, which result in enhanced knowledge and practices, effective peer-to-peer learning, new communities of practice, and a culture of evaluation and continuous improvement. The role will require you to think and engage strategically, whilst delivering a programme of engagement and development activities, both online and offline, in support of UAL’s institutional strategy and priorities.  

 

Currently role will require remote working, this requirement may change in the future.

You will have a strong working knowledge of contemporary approaches to staff development and training, and experience of working across large organisations (ideally in a higher education context), working across different teams and cultures to identify and deliver effective engagement and development activities in online and physical settings.  You will ideally have a working knowledge of the staff development requirements for individuals (academic and/or non-academic) working in a research, innovation and/or knowledge exchange context.

You demonstrate a proven ability to successfully engage staff in identifying their development needs, and in working with colleagues or suppliers to develop interventions that are tailored to meet them. You can communicate ideas clearly and inclusively, and ideally have experience of influencing at a senior level. You can also co-ordinate and review work, effort, and resources, ensuring optimisation of value to the institution and efficiency in delivery of goals.
