The University’s Strategic Plan (2014-2020) sets an ambitious target to grow research funding by 50% to £200m by 2020. Within this, improving links with external partners, including industry, to facilitate collaborative research and innovation programmes is seen as essential. We have a strong track record in delivering Knowledge Exchange (KE) and, in line with our commitment to continuous improvement, have made a number of strategic investments to further increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our KE activities.
As a KE Programme Manager, you will play a key role in capturing the outputs and outcomes that arise from KE interventions across the University. You will work with University academics to capture the value created across all KE projects and programmes and liaise with external organisations to evidence the impact of these interventions. This work will inform the building of capability in key areas of University research, facilitate the creation of new partnerships, provide tangible evidence of the value of research and innovation and underpin reporting to external funder/partner organisations. You will work closely with the Director of Research and Innovation Development and the Director of Commercialisation to set the direction of the portfolio of projects and establish systems and processes to capture value that these investments generate.
