Enterprise and Business Relations is a new directorate at DMU with enterprise and innovation at it's heart. An enterprise culture is embedded across the whole University and includes activities and experiences for staff, students and stakeholders.
Enterprise and Business Relations are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and target driven self-motivated individual to support and develop knowledge exchange partnerships.

The Business Relations Directorate provides leadership and support for the development of profitable and, where appropriate, strategic relationships with businesses, organisations and funding bodies. In your role as a Knowledge Exchange Officer you will work collectively with the team, Research Services and Academic colleagues on strategic initiatives and projects, within the field of knowledge exchange.
You will apply specialist knowledge of developing industry/business partnerships through contract and collaborative research, Innovate UK programmes and knowledge exchange.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of business development in Universities and a track record of successfully increasing commercial income, meeting performance targets and managing resources and relationships. A clear understanding of the strategic needs, issues and decision processes of major corporations and public sector employers is essential in order to successfully manage and promote corporate and stakeholder engagement. Being a team player and excellent communicator are qualities we value.
