The Royal Veterinary College wishes to appoint two resourceful individuals to join The Bloomsbury SET (www.bloomsburyset.org.uk), a £5-million knowledge exchange programme supported by Research England under the Connecting Capability Fund. The Bloomsbury SET partners are the Royal Veterinary College (lead institution), London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, London School of Economics and Political Science, and SOAS University of London. Our two Knowledge Exchange Officers will become strong advocates for the programme, helping to communicate its unique ‘brand’ and build relationships between researchers and potential funders or investors – to include industry, charities, venture capitalists, high-net-worth individuals and philanthropists.
As a Knowledge Exchange Officer, you will join a small team at RVC supporting the delivery of The Bloomsbury SET programme and relationship management with different external stakeholders. You will help to create a coherent vision for translational research activities across the four Colleges. This will involve close working with the Programme Manager at RVC, and with knowledge exchange professionals based at each of the Colleges. You will also develop and deliver dissemination activities in line with the programme objectives to share best practice in knowledge exchange.
You will have good understanding of knowledge exchange or technology transfer in a university environment, and enthusiasm to connect and channel enquiries from colleagues within the four Colleges and externally potential collaborators and investors. You will also have the ability to create new communications content and engage with programmes of a similar nature across the UK and internationally.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact Mark Smith, Programme Manager – The Bloomsbury SET on 020 3905 4736 or email: email@example.com
