Knowledge Exchange and Economic Development Manager: Sheffield Hallam University

Sheffield Hallam is committed to applied research and knowledge exchange (KE), developing innovative, practical solutions to real world problems. Our four Research Institutes provide strategic focus for funding applications, and support growth in our capacity and capability to work in collaboration with a wide variety of partners. This activity is all supported by Research and Innovation Services.

The KE Policy and Economic Development Manager is a key role in realising our ambitions. It is responsible for developing our approaches to national knowledge exchange policy initiatives, actively contributing to university-wide plans for implementing KE policy-based work across the University. This includes supporting the delivery of economic development activity as a key element of our collaborative approach to regional engagement.

Your work will be collaborative, leading a team, working with academic and professional services colleagues from across the University, and facilitating interactions with external stakeholders and collaborators. You will have a central role in providing bespoke support and sector intelligence, contributing to the development of new approaches, partnerships and projects.

We are looking for a forward-thinking team player. You’ll need to be customer-focused and naturally collaborative, comfortable in working with academic staff and external partners across a range of disciplinary backgrounds.
