IP Administration Manager: King's College London (Job ID: 003325)

Job description

King's College London is seeking an Intellectual Property (IP) Administration Manager to join an existing IP Administration Manager in supporting an IP & Licensing team that is responsible for the identification, prosecution, marketing and transaction of IP assets arising from research undertaken at King's College London.

The IP Administration Manager works directly with staff from the IP & Licensing Team specifically to support the patent, design right and trademark prosecution process. This includes assisting case managers within a designated workstream in managing and implementing the deadlines, decisions, legal and financial processes associated with IP administration. Records-management and the production of reports for both internal and external stakeholders is a key part of the role, as well as liaison with inventors, both within King's and outside of the College, institutional co-owners of shared IP and external legal counsel.

The post holder also administers certain legal agreements associated with the College's IP asset and commercial portfolio and will assist in the monitoring of commercial agreements “post-deal” to ensure that inward and outward facing contract obligations are adhered to.

We are particularly interested in candidates with knowledge of patent management software such as Inteum / Minuet. Successful candidates will be expected to plan, execute and report on their activities at a very high performance standard, reporting directly to the Director of IP & Licensing. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience of IP records management within a dynamic commercialisation environment. They will combine strong records management capabilities with an ability to work to exceptional quality standards in delivering performance.

This is a full time, indefinite contract.
