Intellectual Property (IP) Manager: University of St Andrews

The University of St Andrews is a research-intensive university.  

The Technology Transfer Centre (TTC) is a key part of the University’s Entrepreneurial strategy. The Intellectual Property Manager will be based in the TTC and will report to the Head of Technology Transfer. The TTC is located in purpose built office accommodation at Eden Campus, Guardbridge. The Centre’s operations increase the wider use and positive impact of the University’s research activities together with promoting business engagement. TTC staff have a deep understanding of the expertise and knowledge generation within the University, and develop networks and contacts externally with business.  

The TTC’s objectives are to:  

 ·         Act as the first point of access for businesses to engage with the University;
 ·         Manage the University’s Intellectual Property (IP);
 ·         Lead technology translation, transfer and exploitation (commercialisation);
 ·         Promote and support activities delivering research impact; and
 ·         Encourage enterprise and entrepreneurship amongst postgraduate researchers (PGRs) and University staff.
