Intellectual Property and Commercialisation Manager: University of the West of England

About you:This new post offers considerable opportunity for a highly motivated individual to manage a portfolio of projects aimed at translating intellectual property (IP) based research outputs to realise economic, social and cultural impacts. You will need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to understand IP in the context of research and to grasp technical issues, particularly in engineering and the physical sciences. You will play a lead role in managing the universities IP, particularly its patent portfolio. You will support and guide research staff to generate impact from the IP that arises from their research, whether by commercial or non-commercial routes. You will identify and facilitate new relationships with external users of the universities IP, for example companies and non-for-profit organisations.
