The role

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our team supporting the growth and development of research enterprise, knowledge exchange and impact activities, feeding into University and external assessment exercises. This busy, deadline-driven role works as part of a team to provide support in the Faculty with a focus on:

supporting the preparation of high-quality applications and tenders for external funding.

supporting academics to maximise impact, enterprise and knowledge exchange opportunities in relation to their research.

supporting external engagement with non-HEI partners in the public, private and third sector

 

Skills and experience

 You will hold a relevant degree, or equivalent background education, or significant work experience at a comparable level. You will have a good understanding of the UK Higher Education sector in relation to research along with experience in a grant writing/administration environment, good numeracy skills and the ability to plan and manage budgets and cost projects/activities.

You will have strong written and oral communication skills adaptable for a range of internal and external stakeholders and be able to work effectively within a team. You will have with experience of collaborative working across organisational boundaries and with non-academic partners in business and/or third sector organisations.
