This exciting new role has been created to support and expand Lancaster’s highly successful engagement and partnerships work. It provides a fantastic opportunity to enable collaborative working between academic colleagues across the university and external partners from all sectors, and to celebrate the economic and social impact of this.

The post will have a key role in managing all aspects of the Economic and Social Research Council Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) programme over the next four years. This will be in collaboration with academic and professional services colleagues and external partners. It will involve planning and delivering events including workshops and an annual Festival of Social Sciences, as well as leading on funding calls, reporting, communications and day-to-day management.

You will have experience of partnership development and collaborative working within Higher Education, the Public Sector or the Private Sector. Knowledge of policy and challenges identified by Research Councils, InnovateUK, Structural Funding and the wider Industrial Strategy and their impact both regionally and nationally is also essential. 

This role would suit an experienced project manager with excellent communication and organisational skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual who is flexible and happy with trying new ways of working, as well as applying tried and tested approaches to partnership development.

The role sits within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences but involves working across all faculties. The full time post is fixed term until 31st March 2023.
