Following a review of our support for technology transfer, the University of St Andrews is excited to communicate that we are investing in new posts to support this key area.

 

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our Knowledge Transfer Centre (KTC, www.st-andrews.ac.uk/ktc) is in the process of being rebranded to the Technology Transfer Centre (TTC) and is a key part of Research & Innovation Services at St Andrews. Within TTC we are keen to offer high-quality support to our academic community with a focus on professional IP management throughout a wide range of academic and industry innovation opportunities. The post will report to the Director of Research & Innovation Services and will be responsible for a strategic leadership approach to technology transfer at the University of St Andrews.

 

Within the last year the University has increased the level of investment into research and innovation support for our academic researchers, creation of this post is part of this initiative.  If you are a well-motivated individual with a passion to make a difference and make things happen and have a keen interest in the University’s excellent international research and innovation, then this is the position for you.

 

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) preferably in a science based discipline. You will have direct experience of working with intellectual property. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be comfortable in working with colleagues from all levels and be fully computer literate.

In 2019 the University will establish purpose built office accommodation at Eden Campus, Guardbridge by St Andrews, to provide a state of the art working environment for a number of our Professional Services Units. It is anticipated that up to 450 Professional Services staff from a range of Units will be based in the new development at Guardbridge. 

This post will be primarily based at the Eden Campus at Guardbridge.
