Head of Public and Community Engagement with Research: University of Oxford

The University of Oxford is a world leader in research, innovation and engagement.  The Head of Public and Community Engagement with Research will lead coordinated support for public engagement with our research across the University, and increase and broaden engagement with communities, especially in the Oxford region.

As part of the leadership group of the newly-formed Innovation & Engagement Team in Research Services, reporting to the Director of Innovation & Engagement, you will ensure that public and community engagement is a successful and visible part of the knowledge exchange community, inside and outside the University.

You will lead a small group that provides coordination, support and funding to a wide network of academics and public engagement professionals across the University, as well as enabling wider community engagement with Oxford research.

This role represents an exciting opportunity to take an established, excellent public engagement function to new levels, increasing visibility locally and furthering Oxford’s reputation as a sector leader in public engagement. You will benefit from being part of a broader team within Innovation & Engagement, and will be expected to enthusiastically explore opportunities for collaborative working with knowledge exchange colleagues across Research Services and the wider University.
