Head of Knowledge Exchange

The Department of Research & Innovation Services (RIS)oversees the implementation of the University of Bath’s strategic research priorities and manages research systems and reporting requirements. RIS supports the research activity of staff and student researchers with professional development, collaboration and funding opportunities, ethics and responsible conduct compliance, contract development, project management and intellectual property.

The Role and Your Responsibilities

The Department now has a vacancy for a Head of Knowledge Exchange (KE) to help shape the University's Knowledge Exchange Strategy, with a focus on maximising KE income and reputation for the University. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership in the growth and development of Knowledge Exchange and will head up a small team that works closely with researchers to create impact for the University of Bath through collaborations and partnerships.

Skills & Experience Required

You will have a relevant postgraduate degree or equivalent experience, and a detailed understanding of knowledge exchange policy and practice in the UK Higher Education Sector, with extensive experience of delivering growth in research and knowledge exchange performance in a culture of persuasion, facilitation and collegiality.

You must also have a proven ability to develop and build relationships, both internally and externally, and have demonstrable experience at the HEI external interface.
