Head of Innovation
Salary from £62,740 to £80,509 pa (pay award pending) inclusive of London allowance
LSE is a leading social sciences institution with some of the greatest global impact. Our researchers are world-leading thinkers on critical issues, and our mission is the better of society. As part of a major initiative at the heart of the LSE 2030 strategy, we are seeking a Head of Innovation to build and lead a new team dedicated to maximising the School’s impact through research commercialisation and to develop the commercialisation ecosystem, leading the commercialisation service and creating external networks of businesses and investors.
The successful candidate should be educated to honours degree or equivalent with strong experience in industry and/or university knowledge exchange and commercialisation; should understand legal and technical aspects of the complete commercialisation process from idea to application, and should have an in-depth knowledge of the UK or other advanced translational funding landscape and an understanding of business and investor interests.
