To lead on the delivery of the objectives of the University of Liverpool’s Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) by increasing the global-impact of the University’s EPSRC funded research. The post holder will be responsible to the IAA Operations Board for spend equivalent to £307k pa. and will make a critical contribution to developing a culture which supports researchers realising maximum impact from their research expertise. The main focus of the work will comprise identifying EPSRC research outputs with potential to create impact, and defining the most suitable support mechanisms. Your role will be to create an environment which will support and enrich academic, industry, government and third sector partnerships with a view to creating impacts collaboratively; in particular, to support academic partnerships that develop new impact opportunities and to encourage researcher mobility through the two-way movement of researchers between academia and external partners.
Oversee the ongoing development of the IAA, and to manage, monitor and report on progress to the EPSRC.
You will be working as part of the IP Commercialisation Team and working closely with the Faculty of Science and Engineering, as well as linking with other parts of the Research Partnerships and Innovation (RPI) Directorate (particularly with Research Support Office and the IP team). The role contributes to both Institutional and Faculty strategies for the delivery of knowledge exchange activities with the overall aim of developing and generating new impact opportunities.
Reporting to the Head of IP Commercialisation, (with additional reporting to APVC - Faculty of Science and Engineering) and working closely across the wider team, this role required working closely with internal stakeholders such as APVCs, PIs, Faculty RKE Managers and Impact Officers.
