We are recruiting for an Enterprise and Intellectual Property Officer to join the Enterprise and Innovation Department which sits within Joint Research and Enterprise Services. The department is uniquely placed across two organisations, St George’s University and St George’s NHS Trust and supports, manages and facilitates innovation and enterprise across the two sites.
We have ambitious plans to grow innovation and knowledge exchange activity across the University and Trust over the next 3 years. This post will play a key role in realising this ambition by providing comprehensive support to the department in managing day-to-day IP and enterprise matters. The post-holder will work closely with the Enterprise & Innovation Managers and the Head of Enterprise & Innovation to manage St George’s IP portfolio as well as contributing to IP capture, assessment and commercialisation activities. This will include reviewing and managing commercial agreements, implementation of policies and procedures, data reporting and promotion of a culture of innovation and enterprise within the research community.
In addition the post holder will increasingly expected to undertake assessment of new commercial opportunities, to carry out due-diligence on IP rights and to progress marketing and licencing opportunities making it an exciting professional development opportunity.
