Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Divisional Head – Commercial Innovation. This is a key leadership role within the Trust and the Commercial team and provides the focus and expertise to lead the delivery of commercialising the Trust’s intellectual property.

Guy’s and St Thomas has a range of assets and wishes to optimise how these assets are protected and commercialised. The role requires a strong commercial aptitude combined with a knowledge of intellectual property and commercial research.
As an expert in understanding and having experience of the full journey of commercialisation, you should understand the full innovation agenda, be an expert in all matters relating to Intellectual Property (IP) and understand the issues associated with protecting IP in all its various forms as well as the various commercialisation routes.
In addition you will lead a team that identifies and grows opportunities from within the Trust, develops a clear shop window for the Trust for external innovators and creates a professional and responsive team both internal and external to the Trust and one which contributes to the national agenda on commercialisation of intellectual property within the NHS
