Imperial is a leader in industry-university collaborations and technology transfer and your work will be an integral part of Imperial’s Enterprise Division, working with leading global companies (major sponsors are Shell, Rolls Royce, BP, GSK, Dyson, ABB, Lilly, JLR etc.) and our world class researchers to develop research and technologies through collaboration and commercialisation.
Duties and responsibilities
As a service provider to Imperial College supporting academics in their interactions with industry and commercialisation activities, your main duties will include:
• Lead the initiative to develop a new College-wide Centre for Digital Transformation
• Understand and evidence the needs of industry to secure new partnerships that fund the Centre
• Map stakeholder interest in digital transformation
• Promoting the College’s capabilities securing collaborative research and commercialisation income;
• Create a business plan for a new fully funded Centre
• Work in supporting the college’s wider Enterprise agenda working along the IPC team.
To be successful in this role you must be creative, ambitious and able to drive a new initiative. You will have experience in relationship and/or project management combined with technical knowledge which will be used to converse with experts in both corporate and university environments, across the digital transformation subject. Strategic and analytical mindset, strong delivery focus, excellent communication skills coupled with an understanding of the academic environment are also essential.
