Digital Short Course Manager (permanent): Robert Gordon University

Robert Gordon University has an impressive track record as an innovative and industry-engaged institution with an outstanding reputation for producing highly sought-after graduates and supporting organisations to succeed.

RGU has a strong reputation for work-based learning through its Graduate Apprenticeship and short course programmes, and these will be particularly important in support of economic recovery post-pandemic. As such, we are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to plan, manage and drive the University’s digital short course business.

With overall responsibility for delivering our digital short course strategy you will facilitate the growth of our portfolio and reputation, ensuring we meet the significant demand from people to upskill and reskill.  Although the role will draw upon expertise from across the University, you will be responsible for coordinating and organising that activity, maximising the use of resources and creating a successful and sustainable business model.

We expect you to have the experience of managing the delivery of a successful short course portfolio and the ability to lead the multidisciplinary team that will make that happen at RGU.  Above all, you must have the drive and passion to make this initiative a success.

Your application should include a current CV and a cover letter/supporting statement (no more than 2 pages) indicating why you are interested in the role and how you meet the requirements detailed in the job and person specification.

Salary on first appointment is normally at the start of the scale, although in exceptional circumstances an appointment further up the scale may be considered.

Relocation assistance may be available for this post.
